PEAK ATP Receives FSSAI Approval in India
The ingredient PEAK ATP has been approved by The Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
Since the pandemic, India consumers have become more aware of the importance of preventative healthcare and taken a more active interest in nutritional supplements.
TSI Group is proud to have their ingredient PEAK ATP approved by the FSSAI, allowing unprecedented exclusivity to GCV Life (a distributor in India).
“Until now, most sports nutrition ingredients have been imported into India from the U.S., Europe, and Australia,” said Larry Kolb, TSI Group president. “Now, Indian sports nutrition companies will be moving forward. This also represents an exciting opportunity for our U.S. customers using Peak ATP to export their finished products to India.”
How PEAK ATP Became FSSAI Approved
India regulators have taken an active role in finding ingredients that are backed by science and deliver results.
Through the FSSAI evaluation PEAK ATP was looked at from a manufacturing standpoint as well as an analysis of safety and history of use. It was imperative that Good Manufacturing Practices are followed, and analysis of preclinical safety studies and human clinical studies were reviewed.
“Peak ATP was also independently analyzed in an Indian laboratory to verify the product meets specifications,” stated John C. Fuller Jr., PhD, TSI Group’s regulatory director. “They also looked at the stability of Peak ATP and formulations with Peak ATP.”
